"I have known Chris since he was in the 10th grade. As a high school teacher of 16 years I can honestly say he is THE standout student. He is incredibly smart, hardworking and thoughtful. My first realization about him came during a Robotics competition, his first ever competition. Chris’s robot did not make the cut to compete. Instead of either staying home or just showing up to be “present”, Chris brought his robot and worked on it for 8 hours straight. He befriended other teams, seeking help with ideas and problem solving solutions. At the end of the day he had a well built and functioning robot. I have seen many other students attempt the same feat but none have repeated it. Chris has helped me develop curriculum for my own Video Game Design class and problem solve many issues over the years. He still takes the time to visit with my robotics team to this day."
